Cookie Policy
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Adsby B.V. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on goadsby.org. It supplements our Privacy Policy and is issued in accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC as amended) and the General Data Protection Regulation.
Adsby is a Netherlands-based company providing AI-managed Google Ads services. We designed our cookie approach to respect your privacy: strictly necessary cookies run by default, and everything else waits for your explicit choice.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device across page loads, store your preferences, and measure how the site is used. We also use related technologies including local storage (for your consent record) and session tokens.
3. Your Prior Consent
Because goadsby.org is operated from the Netherlands, Dutch ePrivacy law (Telecommunicatiewet, Article 11.7a) requires that we obtain your prior, freely given, specific, and informed consent before setting any cookies that are not strictly necessary.
When you first visit goadsby.org, a cookie banner will ask for your choice. Non-essential cookies (analytics, preferences) are not set until you click "Accept cookies." If you click "Essential only," only strictly necessary cookies are used for the remainder of your visit. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage and honoured for 12 months.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page, which re-opens the banner and clears the previous choice.
4. Cookies We Use
| Category | Examples | Lifetime | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Session authentication token, CSRF protection token, cookie-consent record (local storage) | Session to 12 months | Legitimate interest / contract performance; no consent required |
| Preferences | UI state preferences (e.g. dashboard column order) | Up to 12 months | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR + ePrivacy) |
| Analytics | Anonymised usage metrics (page views, session duration, feature interaction). Self-hosted or privacy-first third-party analytics. | Up to 13 months | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR + ePrivacy) |
| Marketing | Not currently used on goadsby.org | N/A | Consent (would be required if introduced) |
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other behavioural advertising trackers. If we introduce any third-party analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy, add the relevant entries to the table above, and ask for renewed consent.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some strictly necessary cookies may be set by third-party service providers acting as our processors (for example, our payment processor during checkout). Where we use third-party processors for non-essential functionality, we have data-processing agreements in place and only enable their cookies after you consent. We do not allow third parties to set cookies on goadsby.org for their own independent purposes.
6. Managing and Withdrawing Consent
- Use the cookie banner on your first visit to accept or decline non-essential cookies;
- Click "Cookie preferences" in the footer at any time to re-open the banner and change your choice;
- Your browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies independently of our banner; instructions are available at aboutcookies.org;
- Browser opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), are treated as a rejection of non-essential cookies when detected. We do not sell or share personal data, so GPC does not trigger a separate opt-out from sale.
Deleting cookies via your browser will also clear your consent record. The next time you visit goadsby.org, the banner will appear again.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we change the cookies we use or introduce new categories, we will update this policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, request renewed consent through the cookie banner.
